There are many ways to achieve a naturally expanded state of consciousness. You have probably experienced an expanded state of consciousness at least a time or two in your own life. If you meditate every day, you will be able to easily go into an expanded state and experience energy healing techniques.

There are other events and activities in our lives that can occasionally take us to an expanded state: You may get a feeling of expansion in the woods or sitting at the seashore, watching the waves, or while running or exercising. Maybe you've experienced an expanded state of consciousness during sex, or during the birth of a baby or the death of a loved one. Others may enter into expanded states of awareness and energy healing while playing or listening to music or reading poetry.

Why it's the Best State for Energy Healing

Expanded consciousness is the best state from which to undergo energy healing techniques and get important guidance and direction in our lives. Being in an expanded state allows one to connect to their highest qualities and to the field of all energy healing possibilities. If we stay just in our mind, we're not allowing ourselves to connect to the unified field of all information that lies just beyond our minds and our senses. This is required for energy healing to take place.

Many of the most brilliant minds in human history report they got their biggest insights after using energy healing techniques such as meditating, napping, or being in a state of reverie. Among them, was the crucial discovery of the principle of gravity by Newton, who was looking out his window in a contemplative state when he saw an apple fall from a tree and the notion of gravitation came into his mind.
