The Lies We Tell Ourselves

All we need to do is look. Look and acknowledge what we really see, instead of what we wish we could see. If we feel unloved, if we feel hurt, if we feel sad, we need to see it and acknowledge it. If there is one lesson to be learned from seasoned liars – Rod Blagojevich, Bernie Madoff, OJ Simpson, the list goes on and on – it is that even if our lies are not on the same scale as theirs, they can surely do as much damage. To our psyches, our bodies, our souls. We can learn from liars – not to become better liars! – but to jumpstart emotional healing. My thoughts on the lies we tell ourselves can be found on my blog at the Huffington Post.

There is a long list of people who lie and unfortunately it’s growing these days, whether it’s another author whose “memoir” never happened or a chat-room flame who isn’t who he claims to be. We’ve grown wearily accustomed to lies from the heads of our most established institutions-financial, political, or… Read Post

To act is significantly more powerful than to not act.
however having the proper actions or doing the correct thing is something just as creative or dis trustful as any inaction. Why?, even as i write the words contain in these paragraphs the underline emphasis may convey powerful in abilities to act properly and only dogmatic inaction as a result of my inabilities. I pray therefore that my reasons maybe sane, that my pride will not get in the way. Finally, that my message will be clear.
The divine right to have an opposition to all things is not the right to let actions that others have as one of that intents to destroy us but that it will channel ones opinions and suggestions that will make us better inside. the challenging thing is that the rights to my opinions is predicated on my thoughts or silliness as i call it (fears) about the outcome.
The fears of an parent for a son, the fears of a teacher for a student, the fears of a congregation for the pastor. These two ways set apart all other actions in direct opposition to our partaking of such actions or the resulting reaction to such actions. In otherwords it does matter what people think and it does not matter what people think.

When we look at the human race and the indiviual personality of each indiviual we can see that we are endowed with some pretty special stuff. However the emotional in flux of hatred, wars, anger and disease also suggest that our origins in this seemingly impossible odds are ever present in the personality. it is the emotional reaction that i am mentioning that sets of our pride and our private demon’s. The dangers of current thinking is that the enormous gulf or rift between knowing our self and unselfish thinking of others is always in opposition to a world of no god thinkers. even that when confronted by worldless godless ideas whether they are theories or suggestions that we can have an action that are not based on just our knowledge but on the prayerful knowledge of what is right in the moment.
This is not only humbling but sometimes impossible as the flux of life is so diverse and wide to those that believe that they do not have enough of the saviors life, a balance and a composure of a true support and partnership for living. Life is not about the equality of chances nor is it about the prelude of enjoyment of material possessions due to the hard work that one places in those things.

However we aught to enjoy all that we can under the sun if that which is for these right intentions behave and manifest truth, beauty and love. In the days of socrates it was necessary to talk about virtue. that is was said to be sought after was that virtue or beauty or knowledge was key to survival in the greek philosophical traditions and thought. the noble ideas of indiviuals truth that one could think and worship a god inseparable from a kingdom of this world was the long fight of the crusades and the philosophical view of Shakespeare. In the words he said to thine own self be true. their where others like assinated president Robert Kennedy who said ask not what our country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. Many others that we may of heard of and some very idealistic or distant in this century or others gone by.
However in directly dealings with problems of the mind and heart, the courage that Jesus Christ gives is the most unique and powerful. Loving others like one self. Or as he put it love your neighbor as yourself. When the people ask who is your neighbor that is when the nefarious worldly interpretation started.
Why does the author say nefarious, because the working man and the none working person finds that others exist on this planet just like us. Our parents, our siblings, our friends, our work peers, others. From the misunderstanding that our lives are affected by each other is the same myth that we are able to affect others lives by our actions. thus the real truth is that we can not affect people against our will. always will the love we have for them be mitigated upon their desire to let us love them.
If we fail to develop and grow form such actions or inactions it is up to us. Not because we have a will but because yes everyone does. if when we are fearful and learn to be angry and resentful this will affect us much more than what those people find will change them more than words even actions can do. Inotherwords we still can not trust but our actions to demonstrate what words will do until it happens. To sum up we can not do things just to please others, neither can we use words to please others. this is the very superficial and you may not see the reasons that i am saying this at this time.

In those cases with words that we fail or are in denial, we will never learn the lessons of our weakiness until we awaken. Yes, the sensible and right thing is of which my dear friend, family member even my own son or daughter wife or subling that one can do is match ones words with action. That the if one can not then do not act is better. the right thing can not happen for the wrong reason, as tao the ching page 36 states.
what is in the end to be shrunken, begins by being first stretched out. what is in the end to be weakened, begins by being first made srong. what is in the end to be thrown down, begins by being first set on high. what is in the end to be despoiled begins by being first richly endowed. here in is the subtle wisdom of life: the soft and weak overcomes the hard and strong. just as the fish must not leave the deeps, so the ruler must not display his weapons. “ it stifles the imagination that we as rulers in our own self display our disagreement and dissatisfactions so openly and unnecessary so fragrantly.
If we are unconvinced, if we are wrongly hurt, if we are in disagreement, if we are mad, we reap havoc to only ourself with continuation of such thoughts. We can not forgive others unless we forgive ourselvies.
Are time is set by god, the great god whose idea is that when we open up our hearts and let him in change is possible. This change is a real permanants, a lasting peace. a blessing, a peace that surmounts all understanding. However it comes with it an enormous responsibility to repent. Our old way is an pattern, the new way we must trust. The old way is an trait, the new way is a path. The old way is a reason, the new way is a faith step. The old way is our way is best, the new way is model after Christ suggestion that not mine way be done but his. (Father in heaven)
